Sol Hashemi, Seattle Sol Hashemi was born in Vancouver, WA and now lives in Seattle. He is a recent graduate from the University of Washington where he was awarded the Jarvis Award in Photography and was a Mary Gates Research Scholar. His father once made him a shelf by taking a desk, flipping it upside down, and bolting it to the wall. Sol’s first words were “garage sale”.
