Jason Nocito, New York
Jason Nocito is old. Really old. How old is he? Just ask, if your lucky he may digress into stories about squatting, old hard core shows, how to give a homemade tattoo, or growing up inside a birdshop. In fact, Jason is a little bit like an old bird or parrot squaking in the corner to entertain us all. Just when we have let our prententions and hearts to be melted by his stories and almost forgotten the parrot was there he snaps. Seeminging insignificant gestures are transformed when reproduced by Jason into something pungent, vulnerable, raw and beautiful. He also currently contributes regualrly to Muse, The Fader, Dazed and Confused. In 2008 he released his first book with Aperture called “Loads” , and is currently working on his second book to be released in 2010.
